Fraggle a rescue dog. He was rescued by Poodle and Pooch Rescue in Orlando, Florida, from a hoarder. Fraggle has the normal symptoms of hoarder living — filthy, flea-ridden, malnourished and bald spots. He also has heartworms and if that weren’t enough, he needs surgery to repair his hip. The hip surgery (femoral head ostectomy) will fix his little body and allow him to walk normally again. Fraggle fractured his pelvis sometime in his past. His body tried to heal the injury as best it could, resulting in a complete misalignment of his hips and back legs. Because of this misalignment, walking is uncomfortable.Fraggle’s story and photo melted the hearts of a Tarpon Springs family and they inquired, and then adopted him. Their veterinarian lives next door to them, so they sent him Fraggle’s story. Dr. Michael Amsberry was touched by Fraggle’s story and offered to donate his services in making Fraggle well.
Fraggle’s care will be taken care of by Dr. Amsberry, who will provide heartworm treatment and FHO surgery. Fraggle’s adopted family together with Dr. Amsberry, will spoil and care for this sweet little dog for the rest of his life.
Fraggle has settled into his new home and is beginning his new life. This video is about Fraggle’s first visit to Dr. Amsberry at St. Francis Pet Care Center, in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
