3/14 UPDATE:
Tucker has been at Fort Meade Animal Clinic since leaving the shelter on 2/21. He was treated for his Upper Respiratory Infection, anemia, hookworms and whipworms and was finally healthy enough for his eye surgery and first heartworm injection on Wednesday 3/12. As you can see, he is such a happy boy that only wants to give kisses and be very close to people. The balance for his “tune up” with Dr. Lori Shank, Fort Meade Animal Clinic, is 1.77.

Tucker was not saved by a large organization with many supporters. Others passed him by simply because he would be an expensive commitment. One person committed to seeing him through. Please consider joining me in supporting the efforts of independent rescuers that are willing to take a chance on dogs like Tucker that just need a little something extra. ♥

Tucker was rescued from the shelter at the last minute. Not only is he a black, heartworm positive dog, but his gooey, crusty eyes were a bit unsightly so most people wouldn’t give him a second glance or even consider taking on a “project” like Tucker, But Ryan Schulze saw a diamond in the ruff and saved him!

Tucker not only needs heartworm treatment but also needs entropion eye surgery. He was taken from the shelter directly to the vet. He’s also anemic and is loaded with whipworms and hookworms. Tucker desperately needs some TLC.
